   TIM'S BIO

I've known Tim for many years. We first met in high school around 1982. We rode the short bus and attended the same school for disciplinary problem kids together. We both had limited guitar knowledge, with me being a bit more adept. I showed Tim a few more chords and in particular, "power chords." He thought we didn't have the talent to be a professional musicians. After I introduced him to the rudimentary song writing of the Sex Pistols and the Ramones, we realized that what we might lack in technical proficiency, we could make up for with creativity and heart. We began writing songs together and separately.

We formed The Boages as a duo and played many talent shows and lunch time performances at school. After high school. We played a few gigs at some early 80's punk venues like Raw Power and Third Wave, not to mention the impromptu performances on the hood of my car in parking lots. Tim moved away from and back to San Antonio several times during the 80's, forming the Moby Dickheads in Phoenix and a local heavy metal band known as Hardenfäst. Tim and I went back to jamming together again in '90 and we added Tim's neighborhood buddy Vince Pretter on Drums and Charlie's pal Wes Ritchey on lead guitar, calling ourselves Psychic Underwear.

Eventually we settled on the name Psychoholics. I moved over to bass and Tim took up lead vocals, rhythm guitar and the occasional incoherent lead. Tim is also responsible for the bulk of the song writing.

I taught him well.
