STEVE'S BIO

Although Steve and I went to the same high school around the same time period, we never really knew each other. I always knew OF him and his keyboard playing expertise. I remember him playing Van Halen's Jump at the Clark High School talent show. Strangely, we both played in the band Vision back in '84, but not at the same time. Seems that I joined shortly after he left. Vision broke up entirely about two weeks later.

In '99 the members of the Psychoholics mutinied from Tim and formed the cover band Dynamo Hum. They added Steve Cohen on keyboards. I was very impressed with him from the first moment I saw him perform. Very professional, perfect musicianship. I was surprised to see that he was accomplished as a background vocalist as well as lead singer.

Eventually, Dynamo Hum ran it's course and the band members began migrating back into the Psychoholics fold, this time bringing Steve with them. I had been lobbying for a keyboard player in the band for many years, to no avail. Now that we had one, there were so many more songs that we could play now that we couldn't before. Also, our older songs were given a new dimension and a kick in the ass.

We knew now what we had been missing all these years.

In addition to his occasional role as our soundman, it turns out that Steve can also pluck a few tunes on the bass. Expect to see some of that talent as well in the very near future.

Perhaps we have only scratched the surface of what Steve can bring to this band.
